Coma recovery

A MAN who was in coma for eight months following a traffic accident yesterday left the Shanghai No.3 People's Hospital.

Fan Zhigang, a 20-year-old Anhui Province native working in Shanghai, has made almost a complete recovery, hospital officials said. Fan was struck by a car in December in 2010, suffering spinal damage and serious injuries to his brain that left him in a deep coma. He started to regain consciousness last August and was fully awake by the end of that month.
