Flu suspects under observation
INBOUND passengers from international flights from countries such as Germany, Great Britain and Japan who have high temperatures are being sent to designated hospitals for treatment, Chen Qiwei, spokesman of Shanghai Municipal Government, said.
People on the same flight who have been in close contact with these patients are also being isolated for observation.
Tests of the patients have excluded the possibility of any H1N1 virus infections. The people who were in close contact have been released from observation, Chen said.
Only 16 people, five foreigners and 11 Chinese citizens, are under observation in the city at the moment. All of them are healthy without any flu symptoms.
No confirmed case has been reported in the city yet, Chen said.
