IN its 2008 work report released yesterday, Shanghai Health Supervision Agency said it had made 181,400 sanitary inspections and imposed fines totalling about 17 million yuan (US$2.48 million).
The agency also ordered eight companies to close and banned 3,168 unlicensed medicine shops.
