Hospital to cater to foreigners

AN international hospital catering to the needs of foreigners will be built in the city's western area - Caohejing High-Tech Development Park. The phase 1 project, to cost US$200 million, should break ground next year.

It will contain 300 patient beds. Cooperating with the medical school of Columbia University in New York, the hospital will launch international recruitment for doctors. Expats will be able to use their international medical insurance at the hospital, which will lie close to the Hongqiao area and Gubei Community, where many expats reside.
