Leading medical research group moves regional office to city

A WORLD-LEADING medical association and its journal announced it will move its office for the Asia Pacific region from Taiwan to Shanghai, officials announced at an international medical forum in the city.

The move will be made because of the quick pace of medical research and development in China's mainland.

Experimental Biology and Medicine, the journal run by the US-based society of the same name is dedicated to the publication of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research in the biomedical sciences. Published monthly, the journal provides both research and review articles as well as coverage of meeting symposia and brief communications.

Dr Wu Yifan from Renji Hospital and also director of EBM's new office said the association moved its office due in part to new Sino-US cooperation on both basic and clinical research.
