'Make Up Your Life' Women's Health Run held at Oriental Sports Center
THE inaugural “Make Up Your Life” Women’s Health Run was held at Pudong’s Oriental Sports Center over the weekend, featuring over 3,000 runners in the 10-kilometer and 5km races.
The majority of them are women participants. As a charity run, all the entrance fees were donated to the China Women’s Development Foundation. The event’s major sponsor AmorePacific donated another 8 million yuan (US$ 1.24 million) to the foundation, and the money would mainly be used in raising women’s awareness against breast cancer and cervical cancer.
South Korean pop singer Hwang Chi-yeul, who recently won huge popularity among Chinese fans after attending a live singing competition, also joined the running. His performance at the post-run party lit up the avenue.
