Shanghai Reports First Serious Case

A swine flu patient was in critical condition in a Shanghai hospital last night, the city's first serious case.
The city's health bureau said the patient, a Chinese male, was in the Shanghai No. 1 People's Hospital in Songjiang District.
It said people who had been in close contact with the patient were undergoing medical observation from doctors at home.
