Sick passenger delays flight
MORE than 270 air travelers to Finland were delayed for nearly five hours as their flight's takeoff was aborted at Pudong International Airport yesterday after a Finnish woman on board suddenly fell sick.
The middle-aged woman, who received emergency treatment, was in stable condition in a hospital in the Pudong New Area, airport police said. The woman, in her 40s, suffered from acute gastroenteritis. Officers did not disclose the woman's name, only identifying her as Villa. Frontier police said the plane stopped "the moment it arrived on the runway and was about to take off." Villa said she felt sudden stomach cramps at about 10am soon after the Finnair plane left the aerobridge.
