Women reign in mid-level positions
ALTHOUGH men still dominate most company's senior executive ranks, women outnumber men at mid-level management positions in Shanghai, according to a new survey.
The number of female executives increased from 2011, according to the survey. 51job.com, the Nasdaq-listed human resources company, asked nearly 1,300 people working at companies with 500 employees about the gender ratio in their corporate leadership structure. Most respondents said they have more female managers and supervisors, especially in departments like administration, human resources and finance, where the female proportion reaches 50 to 75 percent.
