2 new Metro lines run longer
TWO city subways will lengthen their operating hours after two months of pilot operation, the Metro operator said yesterday.
Line 7, running from Baoshan District to Pudong New Area, will start its service at 5:30am and end at 10:31pm every day starting February 20, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday. The interval time during rush hours will be set at 5 minutes. The second phase of Line 9 will start at 5:33am and end at 10:28pm, with a interval time of 6 minutes and 25 seconds. The entire line runs from Songjiang District to Pudong. Both lines began their service on December last year by running every day from 9am to 4pm.
