TRAFFIC police are recommending five routes to drivers heading for the new Hongqiao Railway station, which opens tomorrow. The Yan'an, Beidi, Songze and Jiamin elevated roads have ramps to the Hongqiao terminal inside the Hongqiao Transport Hub.
An alternative route is taking ground roads by leaving Huqingping Highway on to the airport's Yingbin No. 1 Road and following the signs to the railway departure level. Police said the ground route can be quicker if traffic is smooth even though it takes a detour to the airport first.
