A VIP ticket for the new Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed train is to cost 263 yuan (US$38.72), officials said yesterday. The bullet train has eight reserved seats for VIPs.
The standard ticket price is 146 yuan. The trains, which will cut the journey time to 73 minutes from two hours, start on July 1. Passengers can buy tickets at the city's two major railway stations from today.
