Artists take to the streets

CHANGNING District has announced that it is planning to introduce art installations and creative businesses to its historic streets, including Yuyuan Road, Xinhua Road, Hongqiao Road and Hengshan Road. Hu Renyi, who has worked with communities in Shanghai on art and design programs, said: “It is the artists that should break down the walls of studios and galleries and try to create something useful and meaningful to ordinary people.”
