JAPAN Airlines confirmed yesterday that a plane from Shanghai to Tokyo that landed at Pudong International Airport on Saturday just 10 minutes after taking off was hit by a bird, causing mechanical failure.
All 208 passengers on the flight were unharmed and were put on another plane to Japan. The accident is still under investigation.
