Bodies of missing hikers recovered

TWO Shanghai hikers were confirmed dead yesterday after they went missing during a flash flood in Luxi Gorge in Zhejiang Province last weekend.
Their deaths bring the total to three from the flash flood after the body of Zhang Lin was found on Tuesday.
Rescuers yesterday found the bodies of Liu Yujie and Liu Nuo among rocks. The families of the dead rushed to the scene to identify the bodies, which had decomposed, officials said.
Zhejiang rescuers found one body near Hengkengkou River about 10am and spotted another at 2pm in the same area of Jingning She Autonomous County.
They said the bodies were not far from where the flood occurred, but they failed to find them sooner because they were under rocks.
Police and forensics experts were informed immediately for a judicial inquiry.
