Car crash kills 1 in Pudong

ONE person was killed and two others injured when a car crashed onto a sidewalk in the Pudong New Area on Saturday night, police said.
The crash occurred around 9:45pm when the driver of a sedan lost control on Nianjiabang Road and crashed into the stairs of a China Everbright Bank branch.
A 20-year-old woman was killed in the accident. Police did not identify the woman but said she was from out of town. She was pronounced dead in hospital yesterday morning. The two injured were both in stable condition yesterday.
Police are investigating whether drunk driving was to blame for the accident.
