Car race to turn Pudong roads into circuit
Some roads in the city's Pudong New Area will turned into the street circuit for the final showdown of the 2010 DTM Championship, and people are advised to take other routes, the local traffic police said.
Because of the German touring car race, traffic will be banned in the area around Pudong's Century Park from 8am to 7pm, Friday to Sunday, as the roads will be turned into the circuit for the race.
All vehicles will be banned from the park area encircled by Yanggao Road M., Taolin Road, Dingxiang Road, Minsheng Road, Jinxiu Road, Huamu Road and Yanggao Road, police said. But the ban will affect only parts of the roads, except Jinxiu Road which is all closed. Bicycles and scooters are also restricted in the area.
