Change for bus routes due to tunnel

SEVERAL bus lines in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area will be rerouted from this morning due to the continuing work on the Yan’an Road E. Tunnel, as renovation work has been completed on one lane of the westbound section and will now begin on the other.
The No. 971, 774, 85 and 313 services running in the Lujiazui area will be rerouted to avoid the new construction site and several stops will be moved by about 500 meters.
Renovation work includes ventilation systems, fire safety systems and improved lighting, said officials. When fully operational the tunnel usually carries 80,000 vehicles a day.
The work is due to be complete by the end of the year.
