Cooler weather is on the way

THE forecast calls for a cold front to reach the city either late today or tomorrow, meteorologists said yesterday.
Today will be warm with a high of 24 degrees Celsius and a low of 14 degrees. There is also a chance of a thunderstorm late today, according to the forecast. Tomorrow more rain is expected and the high will dip to 17 degrees with a low of 11 degrees, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said. The weather will heat up on the weekend with highs of 21 or 22 degrees. The bureau said it will be partly sunny over the weekend. On Monday, the high temperature is expected to reach 25 degrees, forecasters said. The bureau said big temperature fluctuations are common at this time of year and that people should always have a sweater or jacket with them in case it gets cold at night.
