Costa to blame

THE damaged Italian cruise ship Costa Classica was responsible for the collision with the Belgian cargo ship Lowlands Longevity, Shanghai's maritime authority announced yesterday.
Officials said the two ships were sailing in the same direction when Costa Classica lost control due to a power failure. The Costa docked at the city's Changxing Island for repairs and should be able to embark for Hong Kong tomorrow.
