Damp days ahead

THUNDERSTORMS will hit the city late today and temperatures will drop for the coming three days.

Mild to heavy rainfalls will drench the city tomorrow but should clear by Wednesday, says the Shanghai Metereological Bureau.

The maximum temperature today is expected to be 30 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than yesterday's 28.9 degree. Tomorrow the temperature will drop to 27 degrees with a low of 23 degrees.

On Thursday it will be cloudy and temperatures will rise slightly with a high of more than 32 degrees expected.

The plum rain season, which usually lasts about 20 days, may start next week. The city gets an average 244 millimeters of rain during the season.
