Don't forget umbrellas on Friday!
FRIDAY will bring rain but today and tomorrow will be sunny and hot.
On Friday night there will be heavy rain which might well be the start of this year's plum rain season, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau. The rain is expected to continue for the weekend.
Today and tomorrow temperatures will hover at around 31 degrees Celsius with the humidity sticking at around 60 percent for most of the week.
The city usually enters the plum rain season around June 15 and it lasts till July 9 dumping 244.4 millimeters of rain on average. Last year the plum rain season started on June 7 and lasted 29 days with 389.5 millimeters of rain, the highest rainfall recorded since 1999.
This year there is expected to be 200 to 240 millimeters of rain.
