Ferry users may get discounts

CITY traffic authorities are considering further integrating ferry services into the local public transport system. People who travel using ferry, subway and bus may also enjoy fare discounts, said the local ferry operator.
At the moment, passengers can enjoy discounts only when they take city buses within two hours of leaving the subway. The city has 18 major ferry services along the Huangpu River with 36 docks. On average, 270,000 people use ferries each day. And ferries used during the World Expo 2010 will also be put into service.
