Full moon forecast for festival
A BRIGHT, sunny weekend is on the cards, while a full moon and clear skies are forecast for the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow night, the city’s weather bureau said yesterday.
The temperature on both days is likely to be about 27 to 28 degrees Celsius, forecasters said.
The dry conditions will be short-lived, however, as rain is expected to return on Monday and remain for several days, they said.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Dujuan is making its way toward China’s east coast and could make landfall as a typhoon on Tuesday, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
While its route is uncertain, Zhejiang and Fujian provinces are most likely to be affected if it should strike. Shanghai might also feel some of the effects, the bureau said.
