Get ready for warm, cloudy local weather
THE weather should be stable from today until the weekend with the flurry of recent typhoons fading, city meteorologists said yesterday.
Tembin, the longest tropical storm this year, was upgraded to a typhoon again at 5pm on Wednesday but soon weakened into a strong tropical storm in four hours.
The 14th storm this year further weakened into a tropical storm by 9am yesterday around the waters near South Korea and finally died out at 2pm, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Local weather should be mostly cloudy from today to Sunday and the temperatures should gradually increase, the bureau said.
Today's high is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius, with the mercury hitting 34 degrees on Sunday.
Shanghai should experience showers again early next week, it added.
