Shanghai Highway Administration said they opened the last part of the G1501 Expressway, the Pudong section of Shanghai City Ring Expressway, to traffic on Friday, making it easier for drivers heading for Chongming and Changxing islands from downtown.
The administration suggested drivers use the Xiangyin Road Tunnel to leave downtown, take Pudong's Wuzhou Avenue and then get on the just-completed Pudong route of the G1501 Expressway connecting to the tunnel-bridge.
