Glitch hits Metro

TENS of thousands of Metro riders were affected during morning rush yesterday after Metro Line 2 suffered a breakdown.
The glitch happed on a signal system at the Guanglan Road station in Pudong about 8:25am. Interval times were prolonged as the trains traveled at slower speed. Many main stations like People's Square, Zhongshan Park and Lujiazui saw huge crowds and congestion in the morning that lasted for about 70 minutes.
