Heat comes with yellow alert
WEATHER forecasters issued a yellow alert with temperatures expected to hit above 35 degrees Celsius today.
The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau issued the alert at 10:05am.
Temperature alerts can be yellow, orange or red, with red the highest alert.
It will be mainly cloudy with hot temperature for the next three days with showers in the afternoon. High humidity is likely to make people feel hotter. But the temperature is unlikely to go above 40 degrees.
City residents have experienced 26 rainy days with temperatures below 35 degrees so far this summer.
The last day with a temperature above 35 degrees was July 21.
