SHANGHAI'S temperatures are expected to return above 30 degrees Celsius later this week with mostly cloudy skies, meteorologists said.

Cloudy skies are forecast for tomorrow and the high should climb to 28 degrees. Cloudy weather is expected to last to the weekend and the mercury should climb to 30 degrees on Wednesday and 32 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the bureau is expected to launch a free weather application next month that will enable users to check real-time weather information on mobile devices, said Tang Xu, director of the bureau.
The application, WISH, which stands for weather in Shanghai, will include district weather forecasts; morning, noon and night forecasts; hourly forecasts; three-day forecast in domestic cities; today and tomorrow forecasts for overseas cities; tourist tips and information on the city's major attractions, Tang said.
The application also can provide real-time weather including visibility and the ultraviolet radiation index at the user's location.
Testing of the new application is being completed this month.
