LANDMARKS in Shanghai will be spotlit by landscape lighting throughout the seven-day Spring Festival.
On Saturday, the eve of Chinese Lunar New Year, the lights will be on display until midnight for the first time. Main attractions include Yuyuan Garden, Xujiahui, Huaihai Road, Nanjing Road and bridges over the Huangpu River.
The illuminations at Shanghai World Expo site and along part of Huangpu River will be kept dark until the fair's grand opening in May, according to Oriental Morning Post report today.
From February 14 to 18 the lights will be on from 6pm to 10:30pm.
