Light rain, clouds with mild temperatures for rest of week

THE city is expected to see more overcast days with light rain during the remainder of the week, forecasters said.

Temperatures in most of Shanghai exceeded 20 degrees Celsius this morning with drizzle in areas. The mercury today is forecast to range between 18.9 and 22 degrees.

Clouds covered the skies, blocking sunshine and making residents feel a bit cooler than yesterday.

Warmer southwesterly moisture followed by a weak wave of cold air will trigger light rains starting today. Skies will be mostly overcast with a brief drizzle at times due to the influence of a rain belt through the weekend.

Highs will hover between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, while lows will range from 16 to 18 degrees.
