Luxe hotels score high on all but meals
LUXURY-HOTEL guests say they are relatively satisfied with the service provided by Shanghai's luxury hotels, but they expect better food, a survey shows.
The overall satisfaction index was 79.76 in the survey taken by the Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.
The satisfaction index of five-star hotels was about 4 points higher than that of four-star ones.
Customers said they'd be happier if the food provided in the hotels were more varied.
Officials said the American Customer Satisfaction Index last year announced that customer satisfaction index of US hotels was 75.
The Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau interviewed more than 3,360 people. They frequented 22 of the city's five-star hotels and 34 of the four-stars.
