THE running hours of Metro Line 1 and Line 2 will be extended in some sections on New Year's Eve while other Metro lines remain unchanged, according to the Shanghai Metro operator.

The operator said the interval between trains will be 15 minutes during the extended hours, adding that each Metro line will have one or two reserved trains in case of a high flow of passengers.
