Metro riders frazzled by air-con breakdown

MORNING rush-hour commuters on Metro Line 1 suffered in stuffy carriages after the train's air-condition system broke down.
The mishap occurred at about 7:50am when the train, heading for Minhang, was crowded with people.
The broadcast on the train said passengers could get off and take the following trains.
The situation got better after the problem was fixed about 8:10am.
Metro operator said passengers can dial a hotline to inform workers about faulty air-condtioning when it is too cold or hot.
