Mixed weather for 3-day holiday
A CLEAR start but a rainy end is predicted for this week’s three-day holiday to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory Day, forecasters said yesterday.
The holiday, celebrating victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, runs from tomorrow through Saturday.
Today, skies will be mainly cloudy, with the chance of thundershowers and a high of 31 degrees Celsius, said the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Events marking the end of World War II tomorrow should in the main get clear weather, though with a chance of afternoon showers, said forecasters.
The second day of the holiday on Friday should be dry but overcast with temperatures of 30 degrees. But Saturday will see gray skies with thundershowers, said forecasters.
