A NATURAL gas pipeline that starts in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will bring an additional 2 billion cubic meters of the fuel to Shanghai by the end of next year.
The pipeline linking Xinjiang and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, a critical part of the East-West gas transmission project, has opened. When it becomes fully operational by the end of 2011, the total capacity of the project will be 47 billion cubic meters.
