New hotline for train tickets
PASSENGERS can book train tickets by phone from tomorrow through a new hotline for Chinese speakers.
The hotline will sell tickets to people living in Shanghai, neighboring Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces, said Shanghai Railway Bureau today.
So far there is no English service but the bureau said it was considering a bilingual service.
Passengers can order tickets by dialing 95105105 between 7am and 10pm, and collect them at nearby ticket outlets, but will have to pay a five yuan (73 US cents) service fee.
