New riverfront opens in the North Bund

A RIVERFRONT green area along the North Bund opened to the public today, providing one more scenic spot for locals to enjoy waterfront views.
The green spaces cover 64,088 square meters and stretch one kilometer along the North Bund area. It contains a landmark building dubbed "musical gate" that boasts three colorful spheres.
Another one-kilometer-long waterfront area in the North Bund area will be open to the public in two-year's time. Officials today said the new area will include yacht docks.
Meanwhile, construction of a 400-meter-long underground shopping street in the area has been finished and will open to the public soon.
