New tunnel to be built

SHANGHAI will build a new tunnel connecting Yangpu District and Pudong New Area this year, the city government said.
The four-lane Jiangpu Road Tunnel will stretch 2.28 kilometers, connecting Jiangpu Road and Longjiang Road in Yangpu District, and Minsheng Road and Shangcheng Road in the Pudong New Area.
The authority added that construction will begin on the Zhoujiazui Road Tunnel and two Metro lines in Yangpu District this year.
