Poll aims to find youngsters’ favorite parks

THE city’s greenery authorities are hosting a vote on the 10 favorite parks among youngsters out of the 161 parks citywide.
Residents can vote their 10 favorite parks at http://www.why.com.cn and http://lhsr.sh.gov.cn from today to November 14, according to the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau.
All parks in the city, such as the Dongping Forest Park and Sheshan Forest Park, will participate in the vote.
One hundred residents who participate in the vote will be picked to receive free admission to some parks.
The event aims to encourage more youngsters to go to parks instead of spending all their time on computer games, bureau officials said.
Although the vote is aimed at youngsters, all residents are eligible, the bureau said.
