YANGSHAN Deep-Water Port has handled more than 21,390 international shipping services since December 2005 when the port opened. Maritime officials at the port said yesterday that there were 1,752 international shipping services so far this year, a 5.99 percent rise compared with last year. The port has also handled 27.88 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) since 2005. This year there were 2 million TEUs, 25.1 percent more than last year.
