Power Surge Caused Hour-Long Metro Delay

THE Metro authority announced on Thursday the cause of a breakdown that closed Metro Line 2 for 53 minutes on Wednesday morning's rush hours.
A power surge caused a power failure between Pudong's Lujiazui and Century Avenue stations at 8:13am. A train stuck in the tunnel then had to be towed out by another train at 9:03am.
Tens of thousands of commuters were stuck at Metro stations.
