Rain lingers before weekend
KEEP an umbrella at hand when going out for the rest of holiday as Shanghai will be moistened by rain till the end of this week.
Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said that drizzle is forecasted around Thursday due to the confrontation of cold and warm air current. Rain will halt for about one day on Friday and then come back again over the weekend.
The mercury will fluctuate between 2 and 9 degree Celsius, with small gap of day and night readings. No extreme chilly days are forecasted, weathermen said.
Last night's rain washed off floating dust in the air. Shanghai reported an excellent air quality today, with the fine particle density standing around 30 to 40 micrograms per cubic meter.
The figure is about half of the national standard of 75 micrograms per cubic meter, according to the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center.
