Rains forecast for Thursday
IT will be cloudy and overcast for much of this week with rains set to return on Thursday, weather forecasters said yesterday.
The temperature however will remain stable this week, ranging between 18 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees.
It was foggy yesterday morning in the city’s west and northern areas, and the visibility gradually improved with rising temperature, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
The mercury had touched a high of 24.6 degrees yesterday as recorded at the Xujiahui weather station. The lowest was 17.5 degrees.
The bureau has predicted cloudy weather today, and the temperature will hover between 18 and 25 degrees.
But the air quality will be excellent throughout the day, according to the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center.
It will also be cloudy to overcast tomorrow. The temperature will remain at 25 degrees but the low will climb to 19.
The weather on Wednesday will be the same, with some drizzles expected late in the evening.
But rains have been predicted for Thursday with the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Friday will be overcast again with the highs staying at 24 and the low at 21 degrees.
