Shanghai Suspends Travel Tours

SHANGHAI has suspended Thailand-bound tourist travel as anti-government rallies turn nasty in Bangkok.
However, Shanghai tourists already in Thailand remained safe, city tourism authorities said yesterday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged people to postpone any planned trips to Thailand over the weekend.
Following that, the Shanghai Tourism Administration informed travel agencies to cancel plans for all Thailand-bound tour groups.
Tourist agencies are now issuing refunds for people who signed up for these trips.
