Shanghai issues yellow thunder alert
SHANGHAI weather bureau issued a yellow thunder alert at 8:53am today to warn against thunder showers in parts of the city within six hours.
Airport authorities remind outbound passengers to check their schedules with airline companies.
Due to yesterday's thunderstorm, more than 100 flights were canceled and numerous others delayed at Shanghai's two airports.
However, thunderstorms brought the temperature down as the city will get some temporary relief from the heat as the forecast calls for a high of 30 degrees Celsius today.
