Showers and cooler temperatures in the forecast

IT will be rainy and cooler this week, with the maximum temperature dipping to 22 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

Weatherman said the temperature reached only 24.6 degrees yesterday as cold air from the north hit the city on Saturday, bringing plenty of rain. That was 7 degrees less than Saturday's maximum.

The weather will stay moderate today and tomorrow with temperatures between 17 and 25 degrees.

Showers are expected late tomorrow and Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach only 22 degrees.

Sunny weather is forecast from Thursday, with the temperature expected to gradually rise.

Weatherman also said warnings for such events as thunderstorms and hail can be issued 15 minutes earlier this summer with the implementation of a new radar network.

The radars in the city will be connected to those in the neighboring five cities to form a network to detect weather changes in the Yangtze River Delta region.
