Taxis offering free cellphone charging

TAXI passengers can now charge their cellphones during a journey for free.
Touchmedia, operator of the touchscreens in some city cabs, say a USB port in 10,000 vehicles will provide a 3-minute emergency charge, giving an increase of at least 5 percent.
Passengers can also apply for a password on Touchmedia’s WeChat account to allow unlimited use. There are plans to add the function to another 10,000 cabs soon.
