Temperature forecast to drop sharply
THE temperature is expected to drop about 13 degrees Celsius tomorrow but return to the twenties for the weekend, forecasters said.
A thunderstorm started in downtown Shanghai around 5pm and it’s expected to remain wet until early next week.
Today the high peaked at 31 degrees.
“It's rare to have such a hot day in early April. The last time Shanghai saw the temperature go about 30 degrees in early April was back in 1946," said Fu Yi, a chief service officer of the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
