Test air defense sirens to sound across Shanghai Saturday noon

Air defense sirens would sound Saturday noon across town in order to test intactness of the city's siren warning system, according to the Shanghai government.
There would be three rounds of sirens starting 11:35am Saturday noon, with each wailing lasting for three minutes.
Sirens would sound in all local districts except areas around two local airports.
The city government said it intended to test condition of local air defense siren warning facilities as well as to improve the national-defense awareness among citizens through the exercise.
